The sacco That Grows Together
The Sacco was established as an Anglican Church-based organization to serve members of its congregation, at ACK St. James Church Buru Buru. However, through its 2020 – 2025 Strategic Plan, the Society extended its common bond and currently draws membership from the ACK Diocese of Nairobi Cathedral Archdeaconry.
ACK St. James Buru Buru Sacco (St. James Sacco) was registered in 2011 under the Co-operative Societies Act (Cap 490) as a Savings and Credit Co-operative Society. The Sacco was established as an Anglican Church-based organization to serve members of its congregation at ACK St. James Church Buru Buru.

LOAN PRODUCTS
Normal Loan
- Repayment period: Up to 36 months
- Interest rate:1% p.m. on a reducing balance.
- Guarantors: Minimum of 3
Self-Guaranteed Loan
- Loan of 75% of member’s total deposits payable in 36 months
- Loan of 80%** of member’s total deposits payable in 24 months
School Fees Loan
- Repayment period: Maximum 12 months
- Interest rate 1% p.m. on a reducing balance
- Maximum Entitlement: Up to 3 times total deposits
Emergency Loan
- Repayment period: Maximum 3 months
- Interest rate: 5% p.m. on a reducing balance.
- Maximum Entitlement: Up to Ksh 30,000.
Share Capital
- Minimum: Ksh. 5000/- per member.
- Shares are transferable to another member upon termination of membership but not refundable.
- Members have the right to enjoy all the Sacco services and products.
Members Deposis
- Minimum monthly deposit: Ksh. 500/- plus Ksh. 100/- for welfare.
- Higher deposits give the member higher borrowing powers.
- Can be used as security against a loan.
